Table Cloths:  Margaret Stokes indicated that we need round linen tablecloths for "potluck" dinners.  She saw some nice ones for $12.99 each or $19.99 each.

It was questioned if Pot Luck dinners fall under Activities Committee business.  Others indicated that we would use the table cloths for Activities Committee business such as the Welcome Back Party, and other dinners and parties.
It was moved and seconded to approve the purchase of 6 table cloths.
The motion was passed unanimously.

Rummage Sale Committee:  Holly O'Connor reported that seven (7) people showed up to the meeting for volunteers.  Betty Brice is chairperson.  They will be putting up an announcement.   Sale will probably be held next February.  Signs were distributed to bldg. reps.  We will be getting 1/3 of the maintenance building near Turnberry for storage.

Use of the Clubhouse:
In a general discussion, members indicated that users of the clubhouse should be reminded about putting tables and chairs back.  There have been complaints about cleaning tables after events.
Grid showing location of furniture would be helpful.
Tables are being gouged by a pipe on the cart.  We need to fix the cart.
Beverages in the refrigerator are still being taken without permission.
Members suggested getting our own machine to clean the rug.  Other members wondered if it would be better to rent a machine?  Buy?  Rent?  How big a machine?  How much to have the rug cleaned commercially?  Mike Manfre will research the matter.

6.  Old Business

Bereavement Committee:  Marge Gotro and Faye Froelich volunteered to form this committee.  They will meet shortly and will come up with guidelines.  They will come back to the Activities Committee with drafts of guidelines.

It was moved and seconded to approve the purchase of a flag for the Clubhouse.
Motion Passed unanimously.

Internet:  As the committee discussed the matter of distributing minutes and other announcements, it was brought up that we should establish a "golfview site."  Tom Duffey indicated that we could do so without any expenditure.  Given that and/or e-mail, we will begin sending minutes and announcements electronically.  Any building where no representative is on-line should let the officers know so that hard copy can be prepared.

The matter of expenses was brought up.
After much discussion, it was moved and seconded that Holly be reimbursed for expenses related to preparation and duplicating.  Motion passed unanimously.

Breast Cancer Tournament:  Louise Cannizzaro reported that we will be hosting a Breast Cancer tournament on Tuesday,  February 12th.    Shotgun starts will be at 9 and 11:30 AM.
A volunteer sign up sheet in Pro Shop.  We need men and ladies to work during the event.

Basketball:  George Lendh brough up the idea of spending $300-400 to purchase portable basketball hoop. He indicated it could develop into leagues, etc. just like shuffleboard.  He suggested it be put in the tennis courts.  Some members indicated that we could get a cheaper setup and we should look around for a better price, say $60. There was much negative discussion, listing the problems with this proposal.  After a long discussion it was suggested that George come back next meeting with specifics.
