Subject: Golfview Update
To All:
Hope that you are all enjoying your summer, the weather down here has
been in the 90's every day with very little rain until the last few
days.
I would like to update you all on the accomplishments here at Golfview
since you have been gone.
Below, in no particular order are the accomplishments:
1. The Gates and fence have finally
been completed
2. The Clubhouse & Pro Shop have been Painted and they look great
3. The new Streetlight for the entrance has arrived and will be
installed by next week
4. New Canopies have been installed on all of the buildings, including
the Clubhouse
5. Tees and Greens have been aerated and sanded
6. The flowers in the two flower beds on the course have been removed
as they were dying, new flowers will be planted soon
7. The Golf Course drainage will begin the first week of July
We are still working on several other things such as Sodding various
areas, as well as resurfacing both the Tennis and Shufflebord Courts
(Scheduled for September).
We will also be painting the Clubhouse furniture soon (No date set).
As other things come up, I will keep you informed.
As an aside, you problably have seen the three (3) year plan for
landscaping Golfview, published by Jim Brice and the landscaping
committee at an approximate cost of $7,500 per year, which we can build
into the budgets. I would like to know your thoughts on having a one
time $60 assessment and completing the project in one year instead of
three. We will look at it in the October Budget meeting, but I would
like to have your input now, so we can build it into the Budget, before
the meeting.
