2. Mission of the Committee
The
mission of the exterior paint committee is to research color and
painting
patterns and approval processes and to present to the board of
governors a
palate of colors, painting schemes, and procedures for building
associations to
use in planning the next round of exterior painting at Golfview.
3. Researching Colors and Painting Schemes
The
committee discussed colors and color combinations.
Considerations
include not only the building exteriors, but also the awnings, the
walkways,
the roofs, the fence, the maintenance building and the clubhouse.
The
committee will be gathering color samples, looking at other communities
in the
area, and using digital imagery to develop how the various colors and
schemes
would look here at Golfview.
Mary
Jo, Mary Jane and Bob Huelsman will be gathering color samples before
the next
meeting. Everyone will be on the
lookout for neighboring communities where a field trip might help the
committee
in its deliberations.
4. Developing Procedures for
Selection/Approval
The
committee discussed various ideas for bringing the issue to the
owners/building
boards. Surveys, presentations at
Board meetings and/or Annual Meetings were suggested.
In the short run, Bob Margolin, Ed Davis and Marie Hofius
will meet with Dennis Catoe to identify requirements of the State Law
and
Golfview Documents with respect to changes in the color of Golfview
Buildings.
5. Next Meeting Date
The
next meeting of the committee will be Friday, March 2, 2007 at 9:00 AM.

The
