Policy Concerning Owner-Observed Rule Infractions

If a resident witnesses golfers breaking the following rules:

1) ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN BAG AND CLUBS
2) KEEP BAGS AND CARTS OFF TEES AND GREENS
3) PROPER DRESS CODE
4) NO WALKING ON THE GOLF COURSE
 
Please follow the following procedures in this order.

1) CALL THE PRO SHOP 489-2264
2) CALL THE MANAGMENT OFFICE 489- 3808
3) AFTER HOURS: CALL A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS

NOTICE
EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1st, 2009
BALL RETRIEVERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE GOLF COURSE.

WHY?

1.     GOLF BALL HARVESTING FROM THE LAKE AT GOLFVIEW IS   
        PROHIBITED.  DUE TO NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS, THIS POLICY HAS
        BEEN ABUSED.

2.    OUR CONTRACT WITH BERGER GOLF BALL RETRIEVAL CLAIMS THEY
       ARE SOLE SOURCE OF GOLF BALL RETRIEVAL AT GOLFVIEW.

3.    GOLF BALL RETRIEVAL CREATES SLOW PLAY ON THE GOLF COURSE.

4.    RETRIEVERS DISTURB FISH SPAWNING NEST RESULTING IN DECREASE
       FISH POPULATION.

We have lowered the price on recycled balls
.25 cents per ball / 2 dozen pre bagged for $5.00

YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER WILL ASSURE A VIABLE CONTRACT WITH REVENUE FOR THE GOLF COURSE, ASSURE PLAY WILL NOT BE UNNECESSARILY SLOWED, AND INCREASE SAFETY ON THE COURSE.

Golfview After Hours Play Policies
                        
*Golf Rules are posted at the 1st Tee.

1.    Residents are welcome to play golf after the pro shop closes.
 
2.    Residents must have a residents bag tag on their golf bag for identification purpose.
        (Available in the pro shop at no charge.)
       Guest using a Resident's golf bag must still pay guest fees.
       Rangers may ask for further identification,
         e.g., Golfview membership card or driver's license.  
        
3.    Residents may bring guests to play after hours if they are pre-paid prior to play.
       (They will receive a red pre-paid pass to hang on their guest golf bag.)

4.    Residents with guest that are not pre-paid will be asked by the ranger: the resident's name, building and unit #.
       This information will be given to the pro shop the next day and will be on file until the guest fee is paid.

5.    *Rangers have the authority to enforce all of the above rules.
