Two age-old friends, Pat and Mike, were avid golfers.  They golfed together nearly every day and sometimes twice on Saturdays.  One day, as they were growing older, they wondered to each other...would there be golf in heaven?

So they made a pact.  If one would die, that one would come back to tell the other if there is golf in heaven.

Not long after that, Pat passed away.  Sadly, Mike kept his regular tee time and was playing golf when he looked up into a tree and there sat Pat, halo and wings aglow.

Suren' is that you Pat?

Ah, indeed, 'tis, replied Pat.

An' tell me now, is there golf in heaven, asked Mike.

Well, it's good news and bad news that I have for ye, replied Pat.

The good news is that there is golf in heaven.

Well, then, what's the bad news, Mike demanded.

Pausing, Pat replied,  You and I have a tee time for Tuesday.
