Quick Quiz:

What's wrong with these pictures?
Answers:
Pizza boxes are contaminated with food waste and do not belong in the paper/cardboard recycling bin or with the crushed cardboard.  They belong in the Compactor.  This is an attractive item for varmints.  Crush it, please.
This curling iron is not hazardous waste.  It is of doubtful value to anyone else in the building or on staff.  It does not have to be handled by anyone but yourself as you take it the next three feet to the compactor.  If you have doubts about where to put an item that belongs in the trash, read the guidelines for trash disposal.

Empty aerosol cans should be placed in the recycling bin.

Computer peripherals may be placed here, but they may also be taken to the household waste center.

Other treasures should be disposed of or taken to a thrift store.

Hmmm....
Today we have a furnace filter, an extension cord, some kind of cover (perhaps for a car) and a broken mop handle.

Do any of these sound too dangerous or too valuable to put into the compactor?

WoW!!!

It's like these things multiply in the dark.

Today a pair of shoes joined the items we found yesterday.

But nobody salvaged any of the other treasures.

Bulletin Boards

The Westchester Board also approved the replacement of our building bulletin boards.  With Louise Cannizzaro and Holly O'Connor providing the leg work and Dennis C. and Vince O. doing the "grunt" work, the bulletin boards are now ready for the new season and will provide the other buildings with a model for what can be accomplished.

The new layout features two 3'x4' tack boards, two clip boards for "sign-up" sheets, a box for note paper (so you can jot down any notes you need to take back home), and the official board (under glass) has been re-oriented.
Parking Spaces
There are 10 Westchester Guest parking spaces along the edge toward Hole in One Circle north of our carports.  Eight of those had not been marked in any way and were being used by Pebble Beach owners and guests.  This fall Gerald Simmerman and Vince O'Connor painted and stenciled these spots in an effort to clarify the situation.

Owners are encouraged to use these spaces for their second vehicles.
Please allow actual guests and people making service calls in the building to use the guest spaces close to the bldg.
