Sharon L. Stermer

Sharon L. Stermer, 57, of Strasburg, entered into rest on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center.

Born October 26, 1949, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Theda (Rineer) Eshleman of Refton, PA and the late Carl Eshleman. She was married to James Stermer on June 6, 1970 at Lampeter UMC, Lampeter, PA.

Sharon graduated from Lampeter-Strasburg High School in 1968. She went on to graduate from Millersville University with a degree in elementary education. She taught at Conestoga Elementary for several years before starting her family. She was also a substitute teacher while raising her two daughters. Most recently she worked at the family's local business, Stermer Brothers Stoves and Spas, Lancaster.

Sharon loved to dance to any music, any time, any place. Her hobbies included collecting sea shells, sports of any kind (especially Penn State), reading, movies, walking on the beach and boardwalk, and also playing tennis. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Fort Myers, FL, and Ocean City, NJ.

In addition to her husband, James, she will be lovingly missed by 2 daughters, Tiana Stermer, of Wayne, PA, Brenna Stermer, of Millersville, and her mother, Theda, of Refton, PA, as well as 2 brothers, and 1 sister.

Memorial Services will be held at Lampeter UMC, Book and Village Roads, Lampeter, PA, 17537, on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at 3 PM with Rev. David Nissly officiating. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Flowers will be received at the church only! Memorial Remembrances in Sharon's Memory can be made to Hospice of Lancaster County. Arrangments Entrusted to the Andrew T.
