Golview>Start>New Flash 07>Clearing Along Hole-In-One

In case you haven't been walking along Hole In One lately, there's been a lot of clearing going on.
At first we were informed that this was a preventive measure being undertaken by Lee County or the utilities to
remove large trees which could fall on wires if they were blown down in a hurricane.  As the clearing continued,
it became apparent that there were other motives.

The two neighbors across the "canal" paid to have the trees and brush removed.

We understand that their homeowners' association is hoping that the others do likewise.

This was an expensive endeavor, including grinding out the stumps.

From the point of view of walkers on the path, the view has changed dramatically.

Note the large rock in the foreground in this view of the canal.

Two of the neighbors moved that rock out of the ditch and tried to place it strategically at the Popham gate.

Some Golfview owners asked what was going on and were told about the effort.

When last seen, the rock was placed next to the others which have been guarding our access.

In this view from Pebble Beach's driveway, we can see that the next step is a fence surrounding the "middle" house.
