Kay Flatten and Hilary Mathison (St. Andrews) had visitors this week from Wake Forest, NC.

Little people, Emma(5yo) and Grace(7yo) and their "mums" were in for a couple of days.

As you might expect, the girls were extremely interested in our newest resident, A. Troll.  So they each wrote letters to the troll and left them in the little mailbox.  Well, were they excited when the doorbell rang and there were two letters stuck in the door.  No sight of the troll, but responses, nontheless.

Mail service around here has never been as good as this.  The girls each wrote replies to the troll and again put them in the troll's mailbox.  Lo and behold, this morning they each received new replies.  Unfortunately, we do not have copies of these letters to share here (the girls treasured them and took them back to NC this morning), but it was obvious that A. Troll is playing a major role in letting young visitors to Golfview know that they are appreciated.

If you have grandkids or great-nephews or nieces coming in for a day or two, be sure to take them by the Troll condo and see if they can strike up a pen-pal relationship with the troll.
