Mark A. Ocel





Mark Anthony Ocel, age 42, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2005.

He was born Oct. 21, 1962, in Minneapolis to John and Diane (Linquist) Ocel.

He is survived by his beautiful wife Diane; devoted father of sons Robert and Jefferey and daughter Catherine; parents John and Diane; grandmother Elizabeth Linquist; brother Greg (Melissa); sisters Diana Bean (Rick), Beth Lacy (Ken), Debra and brother-in-law Romney; numerous other family including uncles, aunts and cousins. His nieces and nephews will miss their Uncle Mark.

Mark was quick to bring a smile to any face but even quicker to offer a hand in help. He will be greatly missed by family and friends and the community will miss his time and many contributions. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter, motorcyclist and pool player. Mark loved the outdoors and was always involving others. Mark's enthusiasm for life and boisterous laughter was, and always will be, infectious. We will miss you Mark!

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Oak Street Chapel in Brainerd with Pastor Chip Avelsgard officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Luncheon at the Old Waterfall (Highway 371 North of BIR) will follow the service.
