This sign tells it
all. The rains of Thursday evening and overnight to Firday
morning (9/26) left a lot of water in the low spots on the Golfview
course.
Water in the lakes was so
hight it reached the bridge between the teeboxes on #4. Note the
anhinga drying its wings on the bench.

This view shows how the lake near the 1st tee has invaded the first
fairway.

Looking north from the first tee you can see how the "two lakes" have
become one.

This view looking toward number 3 and number 7 greens and the 8th
teebox on the right, shows how the lake has added an interesting water
feature for #3.

This view is from the 9th green looking north to Glen Abbey. Note
the trees growing in the lake.

The pumphouse is clearly under water in this view from the 9th green.

Walkers were using the roads
that morning as these views of the walking path show (above and below
left).

This is the curve on Lakewood as seen from Gladiolus.
Two views of Lakewood along the south edge of the new
development. The school bus left quite a rooster tail and many
cars were simply turning around and taking a detour to Summerlin.

The parking lot at Gladiolus Gardens resembled a lake.

The canal along our south
boundary was up to its banks.
