Here is an update on Sam McBride, a former owner and long-time renter here at Golfview.  It is from his wife, Jackie:

Sam has been in the hospital for a week now. He fell in the kitchen and broke his hip. He had Surgery on Tuesday. He is doing O.K. He has Parkinson, and his muscles tighten up and become stiff.  At times, when he walked his - left leg - would not move. He would take a step, and the left leg (they call it frozen ) would not move, so his body went forward and then he would fall. He has been having falls for a couple weeks now, but did not hurt himself, and I wondered how he could keep this up.

He came through Surgery just fine with a new hip replacement. Now he has to practise walking
The only negative is that even though his hip heals - he still has Parkinson, and he may have the same problem again. I think he is going to a Rehab Centre for 2 -3 months after he leaves the hospital.
Depending on how he does there, will decide whether he can come home.
